About The Artist
Randy was born in Calgary, Alberta in 1961. Largely a self-taught artist, he has complimented many a long night in the studio with workshops taught by a variety of artists and night classes at the Alberta College of Art and Design.
Randy believes that his art is a conversation. When a person views his art they are engaging in the story he has imbued the canvas with. He is inspired by light, drama and mystery and uses these to create a viewing experience that is meaningful at an emotional level. His goal is to constantly learn, approach each painting with a sense of play and work hard at being an artist. Randy is mostly known for his paintings of wildlife, landscapes, western art and his medium of choice is acrylics. |
